Video game number one hundred and fifty: Motorstorm Pacific Rift

Video game review number one hundred and fifty in my 365 Games in 365 Days project is"MotorStorm Pacific Rift".

Much like my TMNT review the other day, this one is posthumous. I'm not sure how, but it seems that I forgot to review a few new games I played so far during this project, and I'm need to go back and make sure that I've caught them all. I am pretty sure this was the only one for the PS3 that I've forgotten, but I'll need to double check the other platforms and make sure.

I played this back on a Saturday in April, and while I had a lot of fun with it, it wasn't a game that I decided I wanted to buy. I rented it from Gamefly, and played it for the better part of a morning. The trophies were pretty difficult to earn, so I didn't get many...but I remember really enjoying the first few tracks I played, and just like the first Motorstorm, the physics were amazing. Hit a rock or a tree, or land a jump wrong...and your car will just explode into bits. This part of the game reminds me of burnout.

Ultimately, I didn't choose to return this one because it sucked...I simply didn't have the time to really give it the attention it deserves. When all has been said and done and 2010 is over (hopefully after I've played 365 new games), I'll bet this is one I chalk up as a "go back and play some more". If they haven't released a new sequel by then that is.

Overall? 7/10. It was good...not perfect, but very solid. I enjoyed it.

Trophies? Yup..here are the ones I earned in my one day rental before I put it back in the mail.
