It would seem that the stress of the sale is nearly over. We got our house on the market a couple of weeks ago and had over 40 people come see it in the first several days (even though it was Easter weekend). We found some buyers and it looks like they'll be closing the deal in a couple of weeks. If not, there seem to be lots of backups.
It was a lot of work to get everything out of there (and into the new house) but I'm hoping it'll come to an end soon. Crossing my fingers, but if all goes well, by the end of this month, Heather and I will have sold our old home, moved almost completely into the new one...and even gone on our honeymoon!
It doesn't get much better than that. Unless of course....it doesn't. That's why I'm crossing my fingers.
At the new house, we spent the first few weekends there doing a lot of unpacking. I have my office nearly set up and functional, the bedroom is about 50% unpacked. Heather worked a lot on the kitchen and got that liveable. Our living room has a couch in it and the downstairs room has the TV hooked up. Still to come are the Star Wars room and finishing the garage. Those are going to be the hardest rooms, but I'm confident with some work we can do it in a few more weekends and finally have that housewarming party.
Then....in a month or so, we get to build a fence. Can't wait for that. :-)
